Jovino Santos Neto e Hermeto Pascoal, 2001.

In this workshop, participants will have the opportunity to experience and share the intensity and the depth of one of the most creative musical minds of our time, the legendary Hermeto Pascoal. Renowned worldwide for his prowess as a multi-instrumentalist, composer, arranger and improviser, Hermeto lives and breathes music 24 hours a day.

Charts of several of Hermeto’s compositions written for different levels of musical experience will be made available beforehand, while Hermeto interacts with the musicians and the music in real time, creating a unique learning experience that cannot be replicated anywhere else.

Jovino Santos Neto, pianist in Hermeto’s legendary Grupo for 15 years, three-time Latin Grammy nominee and Professor of Music at Cornish College of the Arts, will assist Hermeto and conduct a portion of each day’s workshop.

Just added: Claudia Villela teaching voice and Hermeto’s son, Fabio Pascoal, teaching percussion!

Please remember that this is a master class format, for musicians already proficient with their instrument. Beginners are welcome as observers only.
